Capitals Finish Regular Season with Showdown in Sioux Falls

The final game of the regular season will be the first time the Oahe Capitals travel since the first weekend in January. It will also be at the rink in which the state tournament will be played on. The Caps face Sioux Falls 1 on Saturday.

The Capitals cannot reach the three seed anymore as the Sioux Falls 1 Flyers have that locked in. However, the Capitals will be looking for a strong end to their season with a revenge win over the Flyers. Sioux Falls won the first contest 4-1 over the Capitals. A big advantage for the Capitals heading into the game even with being on the road is the Flyers will be take on Brookings on Friday. The number two and three teams will battle with fatigue potentially being a factor coming into the game. Sioux Falls is the host team for the state tournament this year again so the Capitals will play its final game getting comfortable with the rink before coming back two weeks later to play again.

Coverage from Sioux Falls will begin at 5:10 with puck drop at 5:30 on Capital City Rock and on YouTube at Capital City Rock Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
