As Kienholz Surpasses 1000 Points, There’s Still Work to be Done

Last Friday night, Pierre Governor junior Lincoln Kienholz hit the 1000 point mark on a made free throw on his way to a 35 point night and a Governor win. The feat doesn’t go unnoticed, but it’s not the end goal for Kienholz.

Kienholz has been a starter for Pierre since his freshman year and has had several 30 point games in his career, but not nearly as memorable as the one on Friday. Kienholz had 21 points in the first half and while he knew how many points he needed, it didn’t cross his mind…

Kienholz says it is awesome to achieve the milestone and the moment was fun…

In her second year with the team but her first year as head coach, Brianna Kusler says it’s not a solo accomplishment…

With one game left in the regular season and the SoDak 16 next weekend, Kienholz says the work isn’t over…

The Governors will face Sioux Falls Roosevelt on Saturday with an earlier start time than previously scheduled, at 4:00.
