Stanley County and Winner will meet on Tuesday night in Winner as the 6A region tournament begins and the Lady Buffs will look for an enormous upset.
The two teams met back before Christmas on December 14 when the Warriors won 64-24 in Winner. The Warriors pitched a first quarter shutout with a 21-0 lead at the end of one. Stanley County was down 43-8 at the end of the first half and tonight will obviously be looking for a better start both offensively and defensively. The Warriors were able to over take the two seed after defeating Mobridge-Pollock on Friday 63-48.
Tipoff from Winner high school is scheduled for 6:30. Winner will host the SoDak 16 qualifying game on Thursday if they win and the Lady Buffaloes will have to travel to winner of Mobridge-Pollock and Cheyenne-Eagle Butte if they win.
