Tonight will end the regular season for the Sully Buttes Charger girls basketball team as they play a doubleheader against the Faulkton Area Trojans in two big games for the boys and girls.
The Sully Buttes girls will look to close out the season with a win and claim the top spot in the Region 2B tournament beginning on Monday. The Chargers will be able to host both games of the Region tournament look for a SoDak 16 berth. Faulkton currently sits in the four spot in the standings and it could be a potential rematch next week for a right to the SoDak 16 back in Onida. The Trojans are 11-8 and have dropped three of the last four.
The Charger boys are back in seventh place in the 2B standings at 7-10 even after a win against Sunshine Bible Academy on Tuesday. The Chargers though, will face a stout Faulkton squad who sit at 14-5 on the season. The Trojans currently hold the three seed in the region and although the boys season continues for another week, this is the final game of the year for Faulkton.
