Stanley County Boys Find Gritty Win in Mobridge

With the season winding down and the Stanley County Buffaloes fighting for the two seed in 6A, the Buffs found an important win, 46-36 on the road in Mobridge on Tuesday defeating the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers.

The Buffaloes opened up an 18-8 lead after the first quarter on the Tigers and took an eight point lead to the locker room. Stanley County held the Tigers to single digits in the first, second and fourth quarters as the defense continues to be the strongest point of the Buffaloes game. Cormac Duffy offensively had a game high 17 while also grabbing six rebounds. Lathan Prince added 15 as the two in double figures nearly outscored the entire Mobridge-Pollock team. The Buffs shot 40% from inside the arc and another 31% from long-range. Stanley County improves to 13-5 on the season with just two games remaining and have moved back into second place in the 6A standings.

Stanley County will play again on Monday when they host the Lyman Raiders. Stanley County fell to Lyman at the Jones County Tournament 41-28 a month ago. Tipoff on Monday will be around 7:45 in Ft. Pierre
