This weekend brought a close to the gymnastics season as the Pierre Governors and Stanley County Buffaloes both competed on Saturday in the individual state competitions.
The Governors had its highest finish of 24th as Kristen Korber scored an 8.733 in the vault category. Emerie Stephens finished her career placing 33rd in the vault with a score of 8.617. Nevaeh Karber was 26th in the bars for the Governors.
Stanley County had Summar Peterson finish inside the top ten, tied for ninth in the bars with an 8.067, placing the highest of any competitor. Rachel Nemec also had a top 20 finish in the floor with a score of 8.400.
On Friday, Madison won the team competition for Class A beating Deuel by a point, while O’Goman won the team state title in Class AA clipping Mitchell by 0.6 points. You can see a full list of the results below.
