The season is down to the final four games for the Oahe Capitals as they host the Huron All-Stars on Sunday for its only game of the weekend.
The Capitals found its scoring stroke last Saturday defeating the Watertown Lakers 9-2 on Pink the Rink night. Now, the Caps will face another strong goalie in Cooper Letcher, although the All-Stars are heading into the weekend in search of its first win of the season. Huron will be one of the three teams to miss the state tournament this season along with Yankton, but it doesn’t mean Letcher is having any less of a stellar season. Letcher has the second most shots faced and the second most saves behind Yankton’s Keenan Wagner. However, Letcher’s save percentage is .888 while Wagner’s is at .835. Letcher is averaging 52 shots faced in every game and for the Capitals, that’s nearly their averaging shots on goal in their last three games. It will be key for the Caps to pepper more shots on Letcher on Sunday.
Coverage will begin around 1:40 with puck drop at 2:00 on Capital City Rock and on YouTube at Capital City Rock Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
