Potter County Too Much for Stanley County

The Potter County Battlers would wear down the Stanley County Buffaloes in the second half on Monday night as the Battlers would go on to defeat the Buffs 73-50 in Ft. Pierre.

The Battlers jumped out to 15-3 lead early in the first quarter but the Buffaloes would climb their way back to a 24-19 deficit and just a six point margin at the end of the first half at 33-27. However, the Battlers finally got ahold of Stanley County, leading by 11 after the third quarter and then pushing the lead to 20 in the fourth quarter.

Lathan Prince had the Stanley County high 21 points on the night shooting 5-10 from beyond the arc while Cormac Duffy had 10 even dealing with foul trouble through most of the first half. Grant Luikens finished with the game high 26 points while Cooper Logan added another 23 in the win as the Battlers are now 13-1 and have won seven straight.
