Tonight in Gettysburg, two rivals will meet on the court in a boys and girls doubleheader as the Sully Buttes Chargers will take on the Potter County Battlers.
Both Charger teams won on Tuesday in Onida beating Jones County while the Battlers split its two games as the boys beat Aberdeen Roncalli and the girls fell to Redfield. The Charger girls come in at 12-3 and in second place in the 2B standings while the Lady Battlers are a game under .500 at 6-7 and in seventh place in the standings. Currently, if seeds hold true, this would be a second round matchup in the 2B playoffs if the season ended today.
The Battler boys team are at 11-1 on the season and have won five straight heading into tonight. The Chargers, at 5-7 have rattled off wins in five of their last eight games and are playing its best basketball of the season.
