Another ESD matchup in Pierre tonight as the Governors host the Yankton Bucks as the Govs look for back to back wins for the first time in 2022.
Pierre was held down in the second half against O’Gorman last Friday but atoned for it on Saturday exploding a single digit lead at the half against Harrisburg to a near 20 point win to sit at 6-7 for its only game of the week. Matt Hanson continues to be dominant in his senior year leading the team in scoring on Friday and scoring double figures on Saturday.
Yankton comes into tonight at 7-6 and have won two straight over Brandon Valley and Douglas after losing four straight including losses to O’Gorman and Roosevelt the top two teams in the league. Yankton, playing without its star from the last several years, Matthew Mors, but have still plenty of size with Jaden Kral and Michael Mors.
