The Sully Buttes Chargers finally return home to play in Onida tonight as they host the Jones County Coyotes in a boys and girls doubleheader.
The Charger girls are at 11-3 on the season and have won five straight, a season high, heading into tonight, but the y face a tough and stout Jones County squad. The Coyotes are 8-2 on the season and winners of six of their last seven. In five of their six wins in the stretch, the Coyotes have won by at least 15 points. Their only loss in this span was to a 3-9 Gregory squad 52-24.
The Jones County boys are at 1-11 on the season and have struggled but against a tough schedule. In its 11 losses, the Coyotes have nine losses to teams at .500 or above. Jones County’s only win has come way of a 51 point thumping of Bison 10 days ago. The Charger boys went 1-3 last week with all four games on the road and will finally be back in the comfort of the Onida gym.
