The Stanley County Lady Buffaloes held Cheyenne-Eagle Butte to just two points in the fourth quarter and pick up the win 39-31.
The Lady Buffs led 22-15 at the break but a strong 14 point third quarter for Cheyenne-Eagle Butte gave them the lead 29-27 after the third quarter. Shawnee Lawrence had 21 points in the game for the Braves but went just 2-2 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter and scored the only two points in the fourth. Meanwhile Cadence Hand had the Stanley County high 13 points as five different Buffalo players scored in the fourth. Jordyn Sosa finished with nine for Stanley County.
Stanley County will now take on Todd County on Tuesday as part of a doubleheader. The girls varsity game will begin around 6:00.
