Tonight the Pierre Governors will have a big test on both the boys and girls side as the Govs will face O’Gorman tonight with the girls at home and the boys on the road.
The Governor boys open up a weekend trip in the Sioux Falls area as they play O’Gorman tonight and Harrisburg on Saturday. The Governors will be looking to shoot better this weekend after struggling the last couple of games. O’Gorman comes into the game at 10-2 after falling to Roosevelt last Saturday but had won nine straight prior to the loss. Harrisburg jumped to fifth in the AA standings after beating Sioux City East, Iowa earlier in the week. The Tigers will take on Marshall Minnesota tonight.
The O’Gorman Lady Knights have won 10 straight after dropping its opening game to Brandon Valley. At 10-1, the Lady Knights are still in second place in the AA standings behind Washington, whom they beat a couple of weeks ago. However, there are five one loss teams currently in the AA standings. After tonight, the Govs will have played all five one loss teams, but are looking for their first win against those teams. The Governors slipped to 15th in AA after the loss on Tuesday in Aberdeen.
