Sully Buttes in Tulare for Boys and Girls Doubleheader

While the Sully Buttes boys are playing its third game in four days, the Charger girls will be playing its first game of the week tonight as the teams travel to Tulare to face Hitchcock-Tulare in a doubleheader.

The Charger girls are facing a Patriot team at 4-7 on the year after falling to Highmore-Harrold last Thursday and Redfield on Tuesday night. The Patriots have just two seniors on this year’s team and the inexperience shows at times. The Chargers, meanwhile are winners of three straight and are at 9-3 including a win over Miller who sits in first place in the 2B standings. Sully Buttes has dipped to the third seed but not for the lack of wins. In fact, with just under a month to go in the regular season the Chargers have beaten both Miller and Herreid/Selby Area who are ahead of them in the 2B standings.

The Charger boys, at 3-6, have started this week with two losses, but will still have a chance to end at .500 on the week beginning with 5-5 Hitchcock-Tulare. The Patriots dropped its game to Redfield earlier this week and have lost two of three heading into tonight. Although the Chargers have lost both games this week, they had won three straight prior to their small illness pause.

DT Meyer, the voice of the Sully Buttes Chargers will be in Tulare tonight for the doubleheader. Coverage will begin around 6:30 on Country 95.3, pierrecountry.com and on YouTube at Country 95.3 Sports.
