The Stanley County Buffaloes will be in Stephan tonight to face Crow Creek as the boys and girls will play a doubleheader. The catch will be the games will be played without any fans.
There have been several schools that have gone to playing without fans because of Covid-19 and other sicknesses but for the Buffaloes, this will be the first time this season and the first time since Covid hit, they will be a part of a game that will be without spectators. It will certainly change the atmosphere of the game and make it feel more like a summer ball game than a league game. Crow Creek girls come in at 7-4 on the season as they sit in third place in the 6A standings while the Lady Buffs are at 2-11 and in sixth. This would a first round matchup if the season ended today. The Crow Creek boys are 3-6 in seventh place in the standings while the Buffs, at 9-2, are second. It would also be a potential first round matchup in the 6A playoffs.
The girls varsity matchup will begin around 6:30 tonight with the boys game to follow.
