PIERRE — The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department is still looking for a concessionaire to operate the restaurant at the Spring Creek Recreation Area. Spring Creek and the resort and restaurant are fully furnished for restaurant operations by the Game, Fish and Parks Department meaning a new concessionaire would only have to be concerned about operating the restaurant as all of the cooking equipment and dining wear is provided. In November, Robling told the Game, Fish and Parks Commission that if an operator for Spring Creek could not be found, one option for the facility might be to convert it into an event hall for rental for events like wedding receptions or class reunions.
