The Oahe Capitals have a tall task in front of them this weekend but they get to handle it at home. After having the weekend off, the Capital boys varsity team will face the Rushmore Thunder and Aberdeen Cougars on Saturday and Sunday.
Rushmore defeated the Brookings Rangers at home twice last weekend to remain as the only unbeaten team in the state with two 4-3 wins over the Rangers. The Caps did lead 3-0 in the first meeting in Rapid City before falling 5-3. Rushmore has not lost any momentum after that win back in December.
The Capitals face the Aberdeen Cougars who come into the weekend trying to get back in the groove. The Cougars have lost three of the last four after picking up points in its first four games. The Cougars, at 4-3-0-1 lost to the Caps in overtime to begin their season.
Puck drop on Saturday is scheduled for 6:00 and then at 4:00 on Sunday. Both games will be on Capital City Rock and on YouTube to watch at Capital City Rock Sports.
