A busy start to the week for the Pierre Governor wrestling program but a successful one as the Govs were able to defeat the Brookings Bobcats on Tuesday on the road to remain unbeaten in duals.
The Governors won seven matches and had two open wins for its ninth victory as they defeated the Bobcats 51-20. Nate Williams in the 126, Tristan Spencer in the 132, Blake Judson in the 138, Hayden Shaffer in the 152, Chance Carda in the 182 and Elijah Boutchee in the 220 all recorded pin falls for the Governors for the bonus points. Alex Oedekoven had a 7-1 decision win for Pierre while Lincoln Houska and Kylen Horsley were both open victories for the Govs.
On the girls side, Hattie Baldwin, Abbigail Lewis and Ireland Templeton all won for Pierre.
