After the offense struggled to find its rhythm in the first half against the Lyman Raiders on Friday night, Stanley County was able to hold the Phillip offense to 37 points on Saturday as the Buffs took home third place at the Jones County Tournament winning 46-37.
The winning streak was snapped with the loss to Lyman on Friday but the Buffs look to start a new one with its win on Saturday over the Scotties. The Buffs are now 6-2 on the season and will continue its busy stretch on Monday with McLaughlin coming to town for its makeup game.
Stanley County will have its makeup doubleheader Monday night against McLaughlin in Ft. Pierre. Varsity games will begin around 6:00 tonight.
