Stanley County’s Defense Suppresses Jones County’s Offense in Win

The Stanley County Buffaloes are off to the second round of the Jones County tournament after a 48-25 win on Thursday over the Jones County Coyotes.

The Buffalo defense has the been the strength of Max Foth’s team and it was on display again as the Coyote offense averaged just over six points a quarter as they fall to 0-6 on the season. Lathan Prince and Cormac Duffy had double figures in the win offensively for Stanley County who have now won five straight and are at 5-1.

The defense will be put to the test tonight as they take on the Lyman Raiders after beating Colome 75-42. White River and Phillip will play in the other semifinal beginning at 6:30. Stanley County and Lyman are set for 8:00 at the Harold Thune Auditorium in Murdo.
