The Stanley County Buffaloes have nine days off since its last game, but the 4-1 Buffs will open up the Jones County tournament in the final game of the day tonight, facing the Jones County Coyotes.
The Buffs and Coyotes met back right before the Christmas break and it was 15 point win for the Buffs 56-41. It was the third straight win for the Buffs and have since beaten Highmore-Harrold in 2022. Jones County meanwhile is still in search of its first win of the season at now 0-5. Since the Stanley County loss, the Coyotes dropped decisions to Burke and Phillip.
The Buffs and Coyotes are the final game of the day as the first round schedule has White River and Bennett County beginning the day at 1:30 followed Phillip and Kadoka Area and then at 6:30 Lyman will take on Colome before the night ends with Stanley County and Jones County. Stanley County will play at 2:30 on Friday if they lose and 8:00 if they win.
