Pierre Boys Host Mitchell Looking to End Three Game Skid

The Pierre Governors were on the wrong end of a 46-43 loss to Winner on Tuesday, but return home to face the Mitchell Kernels tonight looking to end its three game losing streak.

The Governors led the entire way until the 1:30 mark on Tuesday but couldn’t finish off the win against an undefeated Winner squad. Their attention, though, quickly turns to the Kernels as an ESD rival is in town with its own star, Caden Hinker. Hinker is second all-time in scoring behind Mike Miller in Mitchell history. The 6’8 senior will be one of the toughest players to stop the Governors will see all season. The Kernels currently sit at 6-2 on the year and are 5-1 in the ESD. Tonight marks the first ESD game of the season for Pierre.

Coverage will begin at Riggs High School around 6:40 with tipoff at 7:00 on KCCR, kccrradio.com and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
