Pierre Girls Build Lead but Washington Comes Back for Win

The Pierre Governors had a season high 16 points from Remi Price and career highs from Ayvrie Kaiser with 21 and Reese Terwilliger with 14 but it wasn’t enough as the Washington Warriors beat Pierre 65-58 Saturday afternoon in Pierre.

The Governors had a 10 point lead in the second quarter but the Warriors were able to chip away at the Pierre lead to reclaim it in the third quarter and hold on to remain undefeated at now 6-0 on the season. University of Texas commit, Ndjaklenga Mwenentanda had the team high 17 for the Warriors as Taylor Thompson buried three threes in the third quarter in the comeback.

The Governors are now 2-4 on the season and will host Lakota Tech on Tuesday. Tipoff from Riggs High School will be at 7:00.
