High Scoring Affair Leads to Capitals Win to Open 2022

10 goals combined in the first game of 2022 would lead for the Oahe Capitals to pick up a 6-4 win on the road against Sioux Falls 2 Saturday night.

Jarron Beck and Ashton Griese each scored two goals while Dre Berndt and Barrett Schweitzer scored a goal apiece for the Caps seventh win of the season. The Capitals dominated on the shot chart, outshooting the Flyers 51-13 in the game but the Flyers were able to make the most of their limited shots. The Flyers scored on both power plays including tying the game at 4-4 with 1.3 seconds left in the second. Beck finished two assists as Carter Sanderson finished with three and Devin Dodson and Ashton Griese each had an assist in the win.
