Pierre Girls out West for Final Games before Christmas
This weekend the Pierre Governor girls basketball team will be looking for its first wins of the season as they travel out west to face Sturgis tonight and Spearfish on Saturday.
Just like the boys programs, the Sturgis Scoopers are 0-2 so far on the season with losses to Belle Fourche and Spearfish while the Spartans are 2-0 with wins over Sturgis and Belle Fourche. The Governor girls didn’t have the same fortune as the boys program last weekend as the Govs couldn’t find their stroke from the field all weekend with losses to both Rapid City schools. It’s the final two games before the Christmas break for Pierre.
The first game is scheduled for tipoff at 8:30 Central time tonight and then at 3:00 on Saturday in Spearfish.
