Stanley County was no stranger to seeing games postponed over the weekend as the girls had just one game against White River on Saturday and the boys opener was pushed to now Tuesday. The Buffaloes travel to Winner for a doubleheader.
The Winner boys played its first game on Saturday at Winner and rolled over Wagner 72-39. The Warriors are loaded this year with seven seniors and another four juniors on the squad. They handled Wagner with ease but the Buffs, in its now season opener, look to be more of a handful for the Warriors in Winner.
Both girls teams will be looking for its first win of the season after the Warriors lost at home to Wagner 41-34. The second half was tough for the Warriors on Saturday as they put up just 11 points in the loss. Stanley County is looking to recover after a 31 point loss on the road to the Tigers of White River.
Varsity games begin at 6:30 tonight in Winner with the girls to play first and the boys to follow.
