Pierre Swim Team swam their way to the top at the 2021 SD Dakota Riptide Invitational last weekend. Next weekend swimmers will be split between two different meets. We will have 7 attending the 2021 SD Candy Cane Swim meet in Watertown & 28 at the 2021 Christmas Classic in Rapid City.
In the Girls 8 & Under Division, we had 1 swimmer:
• Lydia Kroon: 100 back-2nd, 100 free-5th, 25 back-8th & 25 free-11th.
In the Girls 9-10 Division, we had 1 swimmer:
• Jensen Bauer: 50 breaststroke-7th, 200 free-7th, 100 back-19th & 100 free-19th
In the Girls 11-12 Division, we had 2 swimmers:
• Aurora Corrales: 200 free-8th, 50 breaststroke-9th, 100 breaststroke-10th, 50 back-13th, 100 free-13th, 50 free-16th, 50 fly-19th & 100 IM-19th
• Ann Tjeerdsma: 50 back-3rd (SDQ), 200 free-6th (SDQ), 100 back-8th (SDQ), 100 free-9th (SDQ), 100 fly-10th, 100 IM-11th (SDQ), 50 fly-12th & 50 free-13th (SDQ)
In the Girls 13-14 Division, we had 5 swimmers:
• Jaycee Bauer: 100 IM-3rd, 100 free-6th(SDQ), 200 breaststroke-6th(SDQ), 200 IM-6th(SDQ) & 100 back-8th (SDQ)
• Amara Dell: 200 back-4th, 200 breaststroke-5th, 100 fly-6th, 200 IM-7th, 100 breaststroke-7th, 50 free-7th, 100 back-9th & 100 free-13th. She made State Qualifying times in all events!
• Sorrine Ekle: 500 free-5th (SDQ), 1000 free-6th (SDQ), 100 free-11th (SDQ), 200 free-11th (SDQ), 50 free-12th (SDQ), 200 back-12th, 100 IM-16th & 100 back-19th.
• Ellie Foell: 200 breaststroke-13th (SDQ). She also swam the 50, 100 & 200 free, 100 breaststroke & 100 IM.
• Charlotte Hull: 100 free-2nd (SDQ), 500 free-2nd (SDQ), 1000 free-2nd (SDQ), 100 back-2nd (SDQ), 200 back-2nd (SDQ), 200 free-3rd (SDQ), 50 free-4th (SDQ), 100 fly-4th (SDQ) & 100 IM-5th.
In the Girls 15-16 Division, we had 2 swimmers:
• Michelle Weiss: 200 free-1st(SDQ), 500 free-1st (SDQ), 1000 free-2nd (SDQ), 100 fly-2nd (SDQ), 200 fly-3rd (SDQ), 50 free-3rd (SDQ) & 100 free-3rd (SDQ)
• Nicole Weiss: 100 breaststroke-8th (SDQ), 100 free-14th & 50 free-16th
In the Girls 17 & over Division, we had 1 swimmer:
• Ella Ward-Zeller: 50 free-1st, 100 free-1st(SDQ),1000 free-1st(SDQ), 100 back-1st(SDQ), 200 back-1st(SDQ), 100 IM-1st, 200 IM-1st(SDQ), 400 IM-1st(SDQ), 100 fly-2nd (SDQ).
In the Boys 8 & Under Division, we had 2 swimmers:
• Callan Ekle: 100 free-8th (SDQ), 25 breaststroke-10th, 50 free-11th, 25 free-13th (SDQ), 50 back-13th & 25 back-15th.
• Garrett Linn: 100 back-5th, 100 free-9th, 50 back-12th (SDQ), 50 free-12th, 25 back-13th & 25 free-15th
In the Boys 9-10 Division, we had 5 swimmers:
• Abram Doll: 100 breaststroke-7th (SDQ), 50 breaststroke-9th (SDQ), 200 free-9th, 100 back-10th (SDQ), 100 IM-12th (SDQ), 50 free-15th & 100 free-18th
• Finley Ellwein: 100 IM-1st, 200 IM-1st, 200 free-1st, 50 fly-2nd, 100 fly-2nd, 50 back & 100 back-2nd, 50 free-2nd & 100 free-5th. Finley achieved State Qualifying Times in all events!
• Trey Linn: 100 breaststroke-2nd, 200 IM-2nd, 50 breaststroke-3rd, 50 back-5th, 200 free-5th, 50 fly-6th, 50 free-8th & 100 free-8th. Trey achieved State Qualifying times in all events!
• Matthew Maritz: 100 IM-3rd, 50 breaststroke-4th, 100 back-4th, 100 free-4th, 200 free-4th, 50 free-6th & 50 back-6th. Matthew achieved State Qualifying Times in all events!
• Ian Weiss: 100 breaststroke-11th, 200 free-13th, 50 breaststroke-13th, 100 free-15th (SDQ).
In the Boys 11-12 Division, we had 2 swimmers:
• Sayth Cronin: 100 free-11th, 100 back-11th, 200 free-12th, 50 free-13th, 50 back-14th & 50 breaststroke-16th.
• Jagger Gardner: 200 free-4th, 100 free-5th, 50 breaststroke-5th, 500 free-6th, 50 free-8th, 50 fly-8th, 100 IM-8th , 100 breaststroke-9th & 50 back-9th. Jagger achieved State Qualifying Times in all events!
In the Boys 13-14 Division, we had 2 swimmers:
• Gunner Jones: 200 breaststroke-2nd (SDQ), 1000 free-4th (SDQ), 100 back-5th (SDQ), 100 IM-9th & 100 free-10th (SDQ)
• Mason Ward-Zeller: 1st & State Qualifying times in the following:
o 50 free
o 100 free
o 1000 free
o 100 back
o 200 back
o 100 breaststroke
o 100 fly
o 200 fly
o 200 IM
• He also swam the 100 IM and placed 1st in that as well.
In the Boys 15-16 Division, we had 1 swimmer:
• Mason Dell: 200 breaststroke-2nd (SDQ), 1000 free-4th (SDQ), 500 free-5th (SDQ), 200 free-5th(SDQ),100 free-5th (SDQ), 50 free-5th (SDQ), 100 breaststroke-5th (SDQ) & 100 fly-11th (SDQ)
In the Boys 17 & over Division, we had 1 swimmer:
• Canyon Jones: 100 free-2nd (SDQ),100 back-2nd (SDQ), 200 breaststroke-3rd (SDQ), 200 fly-4th (SDQ) & 1000 free-4th (SDQ)
SDQ means South Dakota State Qualifying Time
