Today begins the gymnastics season for both Pierre and Stanley County as they travel to Huron for the opening season quadrangular.
The Stanley County Buffaloes have just one senior this year as Sumar Petersen leads a young group to Huron for its first invitational of the year. Keely Rotheschedel, Aleeyah Schilling and Elena Hebb are the three juniors and Rachel Nemec the lone sophomore with the rest are freshman or younger.
The Pierre Governors also have just one senior on this year’s team. Emerie Stephens is the lone senior for the 2021-22 team. BreAnna Lowery and Navaeh Karber are the only two sophomores and the rest are freshman and middle school.
