Pierre Man Arrested On Charges Connected To Armed Robbery Of Vehicle

PIERRE — A Pierre man, in jail on drug charges with the U-S Marshal’s Service, has been charged with stealing a vehicle from an apartment complex. Pierre Police Captain Bryan Walz says 21 year-old John Graham was arrested by Marshal’s on November 24th on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. During the investigation, Graham was connected to an incident on November 23rd in the 200 block of East Second Street. Walz says Graham is accused of confronting the victim in the parking lot of an apartment where he took out a knife, threatened the victim with it and demanded keys to the victim’s car. The car was located later at an apartment in the 700 block of East Wells Avenue. As a result of the vehicle theft/assault investigation, Graham is facing charges of First Degree Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Petty Theft. Graham remains in custody at the Hughes County Jail.
