Last Week the South Dakota All-State Volleyball teams were announced as Ayvrie Kaiser, a junior on the Pierre Governors received second team All-State.
Kaiser finished the regular season with 277 kills, tops on the team and 130 more than any other Governor. Kaiser was also tied for the team high 33 aces through the regular season with juniors Remi Price and Lily Sanchez. It was clear she was a leader from the start of the season and Head Coach of the Pierre Governors, Tiffany Stoeser says how she accepted it, you knew it was going to be a special year…
Stoeser says looking back it was almost unfair how they expected so much from her at the beginning of the season…
Yet, the Governors jumped out to a 7-0 record and put themselves in a position to be one of the best eight teams in the state. Stoeser says Kaiser led by example every game through the energy and work she put in, on and off the court…
Being on All-State is a big accomplishment, but only as a junior, Stoeser says her work isn’t done yet…
