Ashton Lee’s first game back with the Oahe Lady Capitals led to a four goal game and a 7-3 win over the Huron All-Stars in the opening game of the season.
Olivia Swenson opened up the scoring three minutes into the game followed by Kiersten Miller three minutes later to give the Lady Caps a 2-0 lead at the end of the first period. Lee would score all three goals in the second period going up 5-2. Miller and Lee would score again in the third to go up 7-2 before Kylee Small would make it 7-3 and the Lady Caps would open up the season with a win. Abigail Stewart-Fromm stopped 19 of 22 shots on the night.
