Mild weather has helped keep the process moving, but the operation is moving into the western and northwestern portions of Pierre which could slow things down…

If flushing is not completed by Christmas it will resume in the spring. The process will be repeated as a way to get Pierre’s new drinking water into the distribution system once the new drinking water treatment plant is put into service next fall.
