PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Two meetings make up the night for Commissioners. The group will meet first at 4:30 P-M for only an executive session to discuss legal issues. At 5:30 PM, Commissioners will meet in regular session where they will receive an update on progress with flushing of the city water system in advance of the new drinking water treatment plant coming into service in 2022. The Commission will also consider approval of a four-item consent calendar. The calendar includes the claims, meeting minutes from the November 16th meeting and two raffle requests; one for the Friends of the Library and one for Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Only three items make up the main agenda. Commissioners will consider a change order on the River Road storm sewer rehab project. The Commission will also hear the September 30th quarterly financial report and the year-end report for Hillsview Golf Course.
