Cumbow Signs with Northern State for Track

Two days before her volleyball team heads to the state tournament, Addison Cumbow, senior at T.F. Riggs High School signed her letter of intent for Track at Northern State in Aberdeen. The signing was Tuesday at the Riggs Library.

Cumbow, a three sport athlete playing volleyball in the fall and basketball in the winter has elected to continue her track career at Northern State. She runs hurdles and sprints for the Governors heading into her senior year. Cumbow will study to become a special education teacher and also majoring in mathematics. She says it was easy to know she wanted to be a part of track in college…

Naasz says with Cumbow signing, the younger kids already look up to her but it gives them something to look up to also…

Cumbow joins Jessica Lutmer from the class of 2021 as two track athletes to sign a letter of intent to continue a track career in the last couple of years. Lutmer is currently running cross country and track at the University of Sioux Falls.
