WINNER — A 28 year-old woman has died after a one-vehicle crash in Tripp County. The South Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 2:45 P-M Saturday afternoon, four miles east of Winner. The preliminary investigation shows a 2012 Ford Edge was traveling east on U-S Highway 18 when it left the roadway into the north ditch where it hit a tree. The female driver was not using a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the driver is being withheld pending notification of family members. The South Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
