The Pierre Governors would sweep the Yankton Gazelles on Thursday night in the SoDak 16 to advance to the state tournament for the first time since 2016. They won 25-14, 25-16 and 25-15.

The Governors had six players with kills on the night led by Ayvrie Kaiser with eight and Remi Price with seven.
