The Senate passed the map on 30 to 2 vote. The House was closer as the map passed on a 37 to 31 margin. The bill now moves on for a signature from Governor Kristi Noem. The new districts become effective for the 2022 election. District 24 will add Haakon County but lose portions of Hughes and Hyde County included in the Crow Creek Indian Reservation. District 26 A add western and southern Jones County while 26 B holds on to the rest of Jones County.
