Family, Friends, Officials Gather To Celebrate Life Of Former Governor Frank Farrar

PIERRE — A memorial ceremony for former South Dakota Governor Frank Farrar was held Tuesday in the Rotunda of the South Dakota State Capitol. Farrar was carried from the Capitol by the arms of a South Dakota Highway Patrol and South Dakota National Guard honor guard to a 21 volley salute as the flag over his casket was folded and presented to family. A funeral is planned at the Britton-Hecla High School on Saturday with burial in the Britton Cemetery.
