The Stanley County Lady Buffaloes were unable to knock off the Dupree Tigers on Tuesday as their season ends with an upset loss down in Winner. The Buffs lost in four sets, 26-24, 16-25, 25-23 and 25-19.
The Lady Buffs end up losing five straight matches to close out the season as they finish at 12-14 on the year. Stanley County had just knocked off Dupree a couple of weeks ago in four sets, but it is hard to beat a team twice and the Tigers proved the statement true reversing the match with the season on the line. They will face the Winner Warriors, back in Winner on Thursday in the Region 6A SoDak 16 qualifier.
Seniors Jordyn Sosa, Carlie O’Conner, Shaylee Tople and Taylee Stroup’s volleyball careers come to an end and what was a big improving season for the Lady Buffs picking up double digit wins.
