The Sully Buttes Charger volleyball team defeated the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders 25-18, 25-16 and 25-15 Monday night in a Region 2B play-in game, and will now take on Potter County tonight in Gettysburg.
This is the third time the Chargers have faced SBA this season, and have yet to lose a set. The Crusaders made more of a match of it than Sully Buttes expected, and the Chargers may have gotten a wakeup call they could utilize going into Potter County. The Battlers have faced the Chargers twice, and Sully Buttes has dropped all five sets they played. Potter County is the second seed in Region 2B, and sports a 19-7 mark on the season.
The Chargers are now 9-20, while Sunshine Bible Academy finishes its season at 4-22.
Leading the way in kills for Sully Buttes was Allyson Wittler, with eleven, while Lydia Hill was close behind with eight. Tailynne Bradford and Calleigh Chicoine both led in sets for the Chargers.
First serve is at seven on Country 95.3FM, with a 6:40PM pregame. DT Meyer, the voice of the Chargers will be courtside to make the call. The winner will advance to a Thursday semifinal match against the winner of Miller and Herreid Selby Area.
