Two presumably All-State running backs will take the field on Thursday at Lyman High School as the Lyman Raiders and Timber Lake Panthers face off in the Class 9AA quarterfinals.
Colton Collins of Lyman and Hank Kraft of Timber Lake have been the top two running backs in Class 9AA all year leading both of their respective teams to now 8-1 records and the four and five seeds in 9AA. The two led the charge in wins last Thursday in the first round with Lyman defeating Stanley County 30-0 and Timber Lake squeaking by with a 14-8 win over Leola/Frederick Area. Kickoff between the Raiders and Panthers is set for 7:00 at Lyman High School. The winner will face the winner of the top seed Hanson and nine seed Platte-Geddes.
