Stanley County Volleyball Falls to Jones County to Close Season

The Stanley County have hit a skid to close out the regular season as they dropped its fourth consecutive game on Monday to the Jones county Coyotes, falling in four sets, 25-23, 27-25, 26-28 and 25-21.

The Lady Buffs are under .500 for the first time since September 18, when they lost to the Miller Rustlers and dropped to 5-6 as they finish the season at 12-13. The good news is though, the Lady Buffs will still host a first round playoff game in Region 6A as the three seed. The bracket won’t be official until later in the week, but Crow Creek looks to be the likely opponent for the Lady Buffs.

Jones County improves to 16-8 on the season but are still in fourth place in the 7B standings with Phillip and White River at the top two and Edgemont in third place. The Coyotes season came to a close with the team trending in the right direction with its eighth straight win. They look to use that momentum into the playoffs next week.

Region tournaments will begin next week Monday, both teams will be slated to play its first playoff game on Tuesday, November 2.
