Stanley County Volleyball Falls to Highmore-Harrold in Five Sets

The Stanley County Volleyball team couldn’t hold down home court advantage on Friday as the Highmore-Harrold Pirates came into town with a five set victory. They won 25-13, 21-25, 21-25, 25-21 and 15-10.

The Lady Buffs have fallen to .500 now at 12-12 on the season with just one match left in the season, against Jones County at home. Stanley County has dropped three straight and four of its last five nearing the end of the regular season. Meanwhile the Highmore-Harrold Pirates are in the number four spot in the Region 2B standings with a win. At 17-9, the Pirates have won four straight with only 2B foe, Miller standing in its way to close the season. Even with a win over the Rustlers, Highmore-Harrold will not be able to pass up Miller for the third spot in the standings.

The Lady Buffs will host Jones County on Monday night at the Parkview Auditorium. JV is scheduled to begin at 6:30 with the varsity to follow.
