Cross Country State Meet in Sioux Falls Saturday

Class AA

The Pierre Governor teams are set for the State Cross Country Meet in Sioux Falls on Saturday. For the Girls, Autumn Iverson is the oldest member of the team as a junior while Jazzlyn Rombogh a sophomore, Mason Berg, LizBeth Crosby, Lennix Dupris and Avery Lisburg are all freshmen and eighth grader, Gwen Ritcher are gearing up for the state run. Overall, the state run will see a scarce amount of seniors on the girls side.

For the Pierre boys, senior Hayden Shaffer has been the strongest runner throughout the year while senior Blake Judson will run for the final time in his career. The two seniors are joined by two juniors, Mason Dell and Brady Gere and three sophomores, Jared Lutmer, Reilly Pfeifer and Haeden Wheelhouse.

Class A

The Stanley County Girls qualified as a team and will run in the state meet. Bailey Seidschlaw is the lone senior running for the Lady Buffs with a sophomore, Rachel Nemec and three freshmen Sarah Fosheim, Kaysen Magee and Gracie Olson.

Class B

The lone Sully Buttes runner, Griffin Peterson, will look to shine in the Class B race this year. The senior will look to run his best in his final state meet for the Chargers.
