PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The Commission will consider approval of a four-item consent calendar before moving on to an update on the Missouri River Bridge project. New business for the Commission includes considering a request to serve alcohol at the Boys and Girls Club on November 15th and an update on preparations for flushing the city’s water system for the new drinking water treatment plant. Commissioners will consider requests to purchase a garbage truck and Ford F-250 for the Fire Department along with a 911 Coordination Board grant award and budget update. The Commission will close out the main agenda by considering the repeal of certain business ordinances that would include Chapter 10 Article 4 on auctioneers; Article 8 Games and Devices of Amusement and Article 14, theaters, opera houses and moving picture shows. Commissioners will also present any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM.
