PIERRE — The Hughes County Commission is meeting tonight at the Hughes County Courthouse. A public hearing for budget supplements is set for 5:30 PM. Commissioners will discuss budget supplements along with a property tax abatement, misdemeanor and magistrate court contracts and personnel. The Commission will discuss vehicles for the sheriff’s department and emergency management along with a video conference system for J-S-C at the Hughes County Jail and the installation of laundry equipment at the jail. Commissioners will consider restrictive covenant, a fuel tank at the Harrold highway shop and insurance limits. The Commission will consider a bond release from the North Bend wind project, approval of the claims and hear reports from liaisons and the County Manager.
