Pierre in Yankton for Final Road Game of Season

Pierre in Yankton for Final Road Game of Season

The Pierre Governors are coming off a high on Tuesday with a five set thriller over Harrisburg which makes tonight’s matchup a trap game down in Yankton.

The Gazelles sit just a game under .500 at 10-11 on the season and in 12th place in the AA standings. Yankton’s record is a bit deceiving with a tough start to the season but they have won six of the last seven contests dating back to the end of September. The Gazelles look to be playing it’s best volleyball down the stretch and climb in the AA standings.

The Governors have a long bus ride down to Yankton, but it is the final time Pierre will be on the road in the regular season and most likely will be the final time they travel unless they qualify for the state championship. At No. 3 in the AA standings, the Governors have all but fully secured a home SoDak 16 playoff game on Thursday, November 11.

Head Coach of the Pierre Governors, Tiffany Stoeser says on Coach’s Corner this Governor team has a lot of heart and it showed in Tuesday’s win…

Stoeser says Yankton is the most underrated team in AA standings…

Stoeser says they have to stay aggressive and have minimal errors tonight…

The Governors and Gazelles have first serve scheduled for 7:00 with pregame around 6:40 on KCCR and kccrradio.com with Bryce Ladwig on the call.
