Sully Buttes Picks up Win at Home Friday Night

The Sully Buttes Chargers had to improvise their lineup on offense and defense, but it worked just enough to pick up a win 22-8 over Langford Area Friday night in Onida.

The Chargers lost junior quarterback and linebacker Landon Hepker to a football season ending injury, so junior back Thomas Farries stepped in and performed admirably.   Farries ran for 82 yards and passed for 109, on an eleven receptions on 18 attempts night in—and around the pocket.

Senior back Jordan Schall rushed for 79 yards in the game, but was sidelined with leg cramps on a beautiful, unseasonably warm night.  Overall, the Chargers racked up 324 yards of total offense.

Langford Area scored in the fourth quarter, mounting a drive to avoid a shutout.  In all, the Lions totaled 174 yards offensively.

The Chargers are now 4-3, and will finish the regular season on the road Friday afternoon against Potter County, while Langford Area slips to 1-6, and will finish their season at Britton.
