Pierre Football Goes for Sixth Straight at Home against Watertown

The Pierre football team is at home to begin the final third of the season as they host the Watertown Arrows at Hollister Field, Friday night.

The Governors are at 5-1 on the year and have won those five games in a row, routing Douglas and Huron in two of the last three games. Lincoln Kienholz and Jack Merkwan had school record breaking performances in just one half of football last Friday and while to break records again is not expected, the team wants to build off of the great performance. Watertown has its duo of Drew Norbeg at quarterback and a terrific wide receiver in Cole Holden who leads the team in catches and touchdown receptions.

Head Coach of the Pierre Governors, Steve Steele says the confidence has been there for this team…

Steele says Watertown is a deceiving 3-3 team…

Steele says they need to eliminate the big plays on defense…

Kickoff is at 7:00 with pregame coverage on KCCR, kccrradio.com and on YouTube at KCCR Sports beginning at 6:30 with Jon Winkler and Greg Dean on the call.
