The Pierre Tennis team will conclude its State tournament Tuesday as the Governors will look to close out a couple of possible state championships. Marlee Shorter in Flight 2, Jocelyn Corrales in Flight 4, Caitlin Ott in Flight 5 and Carissa Ott in Flight 6 all advanced to the state semifinals with Ott winning two to reach the semifinals. Both Shorter and Corrales had byes in the first round. All six flights will play again on Tuesday and all three doubles flights will as well. Sydney Tedrow and Kara Weiss in doubles 1 will play in the state semifinals as will Shorter and Gracie Zeeb in doubles 3. The Governors, as a team are in fourth place after day one, but a couple of state championships could swing the score higher into the final day.
